Provides services for residents who are on Medi-Cal or are uninsured including children, youth, families, adults and older adults, for the prevention, early intervention, and treatment of mental illness and/or substance use conditions.

We provide prevention, treatment and recovery services to inspire hope, resiliency and connection with others to enhance the lives of those affected by mental health and/or substance use challenges. We are dedicated to advancing health and social equity for all people in San Mateo County and for all communities. We are committed to being an organization that values inclusion and equity for all.


Services

Outpatient, inpatient, residential, rehabilitation, detoxification, medicated assisted treatment, and other services for individuals who are eligible for Medi-Cal

Services are provided by mental health clinicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, alcohol and drug counselors, peers, and others

STEP 1: To get help for yourself or a loved one, start by calling Behavioral Health and Recovery Services’ Access Call Center. (800) 686-0101
STEP 2: A trained professional will ask you questions to help find the right care for you.
STEP 3: You will receive a referral to an appropriate mental health and/or substance use treatment provider.

Is my Insurance Accepted?
BHRS serves Health Plan of San Mateo members with the following plans: Medi-Cal, CareAdvantange, County ACE, HealthWorx and residents who do not have any insurance.
Privately insured? Contact your carrier to learn about coverage options and mental health services available to you through your health insurance plan.
